Fresh or Artificial Flowers for your Wedding

On your big wedding day you’re going to want a lot of flowers as they can really make your venue look amazing. The question is do you go with artificial flowers or fresh flowers? Both have their advantages and disadvantages and we will discuss those here. Another choice maybe to go with both, you could have fresh flowers for your wedding service and artificial for your reception.

Choosing fresh flowers is probably the better choice as they smell good and looks fantastic, but they are more expensive and especially if the types of flowers you want are not in season you could be facing a hefty bill. If you don’t have much money for your wedding then having artificial flowers maybe the choice for you as they can look very real and look great also, as well as this they will not die like the real flowers, having fabric (artificial) flowers can get you more for your dollar. At the end of your wedding you can even give the artificial flowers away for people to place in their homes, or use them to decorate your own home. Sometimes artificial flowers can look just as real as fresh flowers and nobody will notice, although you may get the odd flower expert in your wedding crowd but that won’t matter too much, they probably won’t say anything to anyone if they flowers are looking great anyway.

You should get a quote from a few flower stores to see how much fresh and artificial flowers will cost and how much it will cost for delivery. The flower shops will also be able to help you with your choice of flower; if your budget is tight then you can ask them to recommend some cheap to mid range priced flowers. You should note that any quotes you get for fabric flowers should be cheaper than the real flowers; you see one flower sellers may cost more for the fabric than another store for the real flowers, in which case you should then proceed to go with the real flowers.

As you can see both types of flowers have their good and bad points and you can’t really go wrong either way as both types look great. The decision probably comes down to more a budget thing, if you have a small budget then go with artificial. If your budget is mid range then perhaps go with both putting the fresh flowers in the most prominent areas of your wedding and reception venues and then use fabric flowers for the other areas. If you have no budget then definitely go for fresh flowers.
