Roses are timeless flowers
The rose has been around for centuries and its popularity has never gone down. It is the symbol of love and romance as depicted in movies and that’s what we feel in real life when giving a rose to the ones we love. Even though roses have been around for centuries its cultivation has only been around for the past 5000 years as fossil evidence suggests, China was probably the first to cultivate roses and then the Romans in the Middle East and then England, who used the rose for symbols on flags of war ‘War of the roses’.
There are actually four basic kinds of roses, they are: old European garden roses, repeat-blooming old roses, species roses, and the modern rose. The rose that they all originated from was the Species rose which has 5 petals and colourful tips; they bloom in early summer once per year. There are now many more species of roses found in the northern hemisphere. The Rosa Rugos rose is probably the most popular rose sold by online florists in Australia; other popular species of roses include the hybrid tea rose, floribunda, and the grandifloria.
Depending on which region you live in the world the type of rose you can buy could be very different to those in another country. So actually when giving a rose from Australia to someone new to the country it could be a fantastic gift as they may not have seen this type of rose before, and it will provide them with more pleasure. Also if you are going overseas you could take a rose if the country permits plants (unlikely) but it would make a fantastic gift, people always appreciate and feel excited about new things, especially roses for women.
You can never fail when presenting a rose to your female partner they will always appreciate it and a rose can speak volumes in terms of how you feel about that special someone. So send a rose online today and put a smile on your partner’s face.
